About #AthLayering

Hi I am Karen and the girl behind the concept of AthLayering and Skirt the Issue®❤.  I came up with the idea one day after realizing I wasn't comfortable going from an outfit I had on for church, to a sports bar to watch a football game.  I absolutely love fashion, and not knowing how to handle this particular fashion transition gave me the motivation to come up with a solution to this dilemma ("issue"). 

Background story:  The Issue

I didn't want to wrap a sweatshirt around my waist, or wear a long coat around all day, but I was wearing leggings that needed a bit more modesty once I took off my church sweater {with butt coverage} which I was replacing with a cute little NFL tee {cropped with zero butt coverage}. 

Solution:  Skirt the Issue ®

Then it was born!  A super cute, double layered unconstructed tube skirt that could easily slip on and be scrunched to adjust the length.  What a concept!  Someone HAD to have thought of that already- I was obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED!

The Process:

It took some time, but I finally found the perfect fabric and a local manufacturer to help me with prototypes.  The name, Skirt the Issue®, was a fun one that just rolled off my tongue and into a Registered Trademark within a year. I am now ready to introduce YOU to the one little item that will make you say "Goodbye little black dress- I've got a new essential fashion item!"  You will LOVE it ❤

Faith, Focus and Follow Through:

Inspired by the story? Good...take a look around you.  What is your dream?  What makes you happy {me?  fashion, challenges, ownership}.  Find a way to incorporate all your inspirations into a vision you can work with..baby steps.  "Rome wasn't built in a day, but they laid bricks every day." It can be a career, a hobby, a passion or a huge dream. My advice to you is to stay #OnTheMove !  Here's hoping you are inspired and our products keep you moving.
